My great photography

Aloha

My name is Mark Fiesta. I received my first camera 25 years ago from my mom. My eyes (my first camera) have been through some set backs, but a trip to the local camera store has gotten them back into shape. If you enjoy photography as much as i do, please go ahead and see what my eyes have been capturing. \m/

Lharlyne + Ben / 11.13.10 / M-Session / Honolulu, Hawaii

November 14th, 2010

I got a text about two weeks ago from a classmate of mines from highschool. Both her and her husband are expecting their next addition to the family and wanted me to document this special time. I was soo down for it as this would be my first Maternity Session. Needless to say, the weather held up, and they were great sports in allowing me to take them in the woods and get some great shots. Check’em out!

Lana’i Cultural & Heritage Center

October 19th, 2010

My co-worker tipped me off on this new museum as he heard through the grapevine that I was going to the beautiful island of Lana’i for the weekend. Its truly amazing to see how little this small city of 3500 has changed. If your on the board about where to go on your interisland trip, i suggest ditching Kauai and Maui and head over to the pineapple isle for some rest and relaxation. you wont regret it!

Wai’anae Farm Tour

July 27th, 2010

The event took place on July 16, 2010 at the Kahumana Farm Cafe and is led by American Friend Service Committee Hawaii in partnership with Nani ‘O Wai’anae, the Concerned Elders of Wai’anae, KAHEA, and The Wai’anae Environmental Justice Group.

The evening was highlighted by the showing of a film produced by the youth participants of Ka Makani Kaiaulu ‘O Wai’anae. It documents the stories of the residents of Wai’anae, the threats the Wai’anae community face today, and what the youth envision for the future of the Wai’anae area. The evening ended with the recognition of each youth participant and what each learned during his or her participation in the program. Some of the participants voiced their concern and need for more sustainable youth programs such as Ka Makani Kaiaulu ‘O Wai’anae and hoped to participate in such programs in the future. Other participants recognized their own ‘awakening’ and vowed to stand up against the oppressions that threaten their community from henceforth.
